Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will play Borussia Dortmund in an empty ground in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League first knockout round on Wednesday following the coronavirus epidemic, multiple media reported on Monday.

Previously, France banned all gatherings of more than 1,000 people as the country confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases topped 1,200 nationwide while the death toll climbed to 19. Despite new measures, the Paris-based club hoped that it won't apply to the coming match they are set to play versus former European champions.

In the first leg, Borussia beat French champions 2-1 on outstanding performance by Norwegian striker Erling Haaland who scored both goals for the German side.
