Dow ends 360 pts higher after aid bill talk

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished Friday's trading day with gains of 360 points after reports said that a new coronavirus aid bill proposal could be presented next week. Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump said he thinks that US economic activity will jump in the third quarter and that he will win the November election. Over the weekend, all eyes will be on Trump's Supreme Court pick and reactions to the news from Democrats.

The Dow finished 1.34% higher. Boeing led the gains in the index as it increased by 6.83%. The Nasdaq 100 was up 2.34% as jumped 8.65%. The S&P 500 ended 1.60% in the green, with Norwegian Cruise Line finishing 13.67% higher.

The euro lost 0.40% compared to the dollar to go for 1.16254 at 4:01 pm ET as it traded on lows last seen in late July.
