US opens higher on the news of transition process

Wall Street’s stock markets opened in the green on Tuesday, as the United States President-elect Joe Biden started to form his incoming administration team, on the verge of the formal transition process. On the data front, the house prices in the United States increased in September, according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 1.03%, or 304.77 points, at 9:30, am ET, while Chevron Corp soared 6.11% at 9:33 am ET. At the beginning of the trading session, the Nasdaq 100 rose by 0.39%, as Dollar Tree jumped 9.04% at 9:35 am ET. At the opening bell, the S&P 500 gained 0.77%, with Occidental Petroleum moving in the green by 16.83% at 9:36 am ET.

The euro gained 0.10% to change hands for $1.18502 at 9:29 am ET.
