Dow soars 450 points after 10-year note auction

Stocks on Wall Street extended gains on Wednesday with the Dow Jones surging more than 450 points following a key 10-year note auction. The Treasury Department auctioned off $38 billion in 9-year 11-month notes with the yield at 1.523% and bid-cover ratio at 2.38.

The Dow Jones rallied 1.44% or 457 points at 1:13 pm ET. Boeing led the gains as its shares surged over 5%.

After briefly dipping earlier in the session, the Nasdaq 100 returned to positive territory and gained 0.18% at 1:13 pm ET. The best performer was Walgreens Boots Alliance, up 3.94%.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 climbed 0.84% at 1:14 pm ET.
