United States major stock markets closed the last session of the week on Friday higher, bouncing back from the losses of the previous day, caused by US President Joe Biden's intention to increase capital gain taxes. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki brushed off concerns about the market's reactions saying "factually, it went back up this morning".

Meanwhile, data reports suggest a strong economic recovery as IHS Markit revealed private sector activity growth, as well as record values in the Services Business Activity Index and the Manufacturing PMI. Sales of new homes in the US also rose in March to the highest level in 15 years.

The Dow Jones advanced by 0.67% as Goldman Sachs climbed 2.57%, while the S&P 500 increased by 1.09% with SVB Financial Group soaring by 8.72%. The Nasdaq 100 grew by 1.30% led by Xilinx gaining 5.35%. The euro added 0.70% against the dollar trading for $1.20987 at 3:59 pm ET.
