Starbucks Q2 net revenue at $6.67B, up by 11%

Starbucks Corp. announced on Tuesday that its consolidated net revenue for the second fiscal quarter of 2021 stood at $6.7 billion, up by 11% from the same time period last year. The Americas consolidated net revenue was $4.66 billion, marking an 8% rise year-on-year. Diluted earnings per share was reported at $0.56, jumping from $0.28 compared to the year before. The company's operating income amounted to $905.3 million, increasing 46% on an annual basis. Meanwhile, its global comparable-store sales rose by 15%.

"I am very pleased with our progress to date in fiscal 2021, as our second-quarter results demonstrated impressive momentum in the business with full sales recovery in the US. Our strong results validate our ability to adapt to changes in our environment and the needs of our customers," stated Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson.

Starbucks raised the 2021 revenue margin and the full-year guidance for earnings per share. Following the report, the company's stocks fell 2.08% to $113.55 per share.
