Europe opens mixed ahead of services data

European markets opened mixed on Monday as investors awaited services sector data from the Eurozone, Germany and the United Kingdom. In business news, Glencore unveiled the name of its incoming chairman, while a trio of major European automakers said that they plan to form a joint venture that will install an electric truck charging network in Europe.

The DAX declined 0.13% at 9:00 am CET as Daimler led the losses, ticking 0.77% lower at the same time. London's FTSE 100 increased by 0.22% at 9:01 am CET with Antofagasta advancing 1.82% a minute later. The CAC 40 in France was unchanged at 9:01 am CET.

The euro was flat against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, trading at 1.18631. The British pound was 0.10% higher compared to the American currency, going for 1.38446 concurrently.
