US opens higher after inflation data, earnings

United States stock exchanged opened higher on Wednesday as investors analyzed the latest inflation data and the quarterly updates released by BlackRock, JPMorgan Chase and Delta Air Lines, respectively. Elsewhere, the House of Representatives passed a bill that will raise the US borrowing limit by $480 billion until December 3.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 0.09% at the open with Microsoft, its best performer, rising 1.28% at 9:46 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 advanced 0.60% as Pinduoduo climbed 2.64% at 9:32 am ET. The S&P 500 was up 0.24% in the first minute of trading, as BlackRock led the gains, growing 2.38% at 9:32 am ET.

The euro increased by 0.31% against the dollar to trade at 1.15659 at 9:30 am ET.
