SAP's Q3 revenue at €6.8 billion, up 5% YoY

SAP SE unveiled on Thursday that its total revenue for the third quarter of the fiscal year increased 5% when compared to the same period last year to stand at €6.8 billion.

At the same time, basic earnings per share (EPS) fell 10% year-over-year to €1.19. Meanwhile, operating profit dropped from €1.5 billion to €1.2 billion, constituting a 15% per annum decline.

SAP CEO Christian Klein commented on the results: "Our strategy is clearly working. Customers are choosing SAP for their business transformation in the cloud. We see record adoption of our applications and our platform. This has resulted in a strong acceleration of our cloud growth."
