Valtteri Bottas has won the pole position on Saturday for the Mexico Grand Prix.

The Finnish driver came first with a time of 1:18.341 followed by his Mercedes teammate, Britain's Lewis Hamilton, who clocked in at 1:18.417. Belgian-Dutch racer Max Verstappen took third place.

The session was delayed significantly after Canada's Lance Stroll crashed during the first qualifying period, but managed to exit his car safely.
