Walgreens Boots Alliance is exploring the possibility of selling its Boots business in the United Kingdom in a deal that could value the unit at more than £5 billion, Sky News reported on Friday.

According to the report, Walgreens hired Goldman Sachs to advise it on a review of options for Boots, including a potential sale but also spinning it off as a separately listed company.

Walgreens bought a 45% stake in Alliance Boots in 2012 and acquired the rest of the health and beauty company in 2014, forming Walgreens Boots Alliance.
