Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on Monday for "collective and synchronized action from every country and every global agency" to address a number of current challenges. Speaking at the World Economic Forum, he named supply chain disruptions, inflation, and climate change as some of the issues that require a unified stance.

Modi also mentioned cryptocurrency as one such problem. "Given the kind of technology this is based on, decisions taken by any one country are not going to be enough to resolve challenges related to it. We need to adopt a uniform approach to it," he argued. The Indian leader also raised the question of whether current national and international institutions are able to "address the new world order and new challenges," saying it is the responsibility of each nation to "focus on reforms of these institutions."
