US opens higher, Dow and Nasdaq over 100 pts

After yesterday’s closing in red, US stock markets opened higher. Earlier, the number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits rose to the highest level in three months, and new Omicron data continued to disrupt the market. Today, investors are waiting for crude oil stocks data from the EIA and the report on existing home sales.

The Dow Jones gained 0.44% or 152 points at 9:32 am ET, with Procter & Gamble Co up 3.36%. The Nasdaq 100 added 1.13%, while Pinduoduo improved by 7.33%, and the S&P 500 also increased 0.67%, as Baker Hughes rose 5.33%

The euro was flat against the dollar at 9:28 am ET, selling for 1.13469.
