Nestle's revenues up 3% in 2021 to 87.1B Swiss francs

Nestle S.A. reported on Thursday that its sales in fiscal 2021 came in at 87.1 billion Swiss francs, rising 3% compared to 2020.

The company noted its organic growth reached 7.5% in the twelve-month period and reported earnings per share (EPS) surged by 22.2% to 2.06 Swiss francs, while underlying EPS climbed 6% to 4.42 Swiss francs. On a reported base, EPS surged 41% to 6.06 Swiss francs.

"Our organic growth was strong, with broad-based market share gains, following disciplined execution, rapid innovation and increased digitalization. We limited the impact of exceptional cost inflation through diligent cost management and responsible pricing," CEO Mark Schneider stated.

In its 2022 outlook, Nestle noted it expects organic sales growth of around 5%.
