US lower premarket after holiday weekend

Stock indexes in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Tuesday following the Independence Day holiday. The Biden administration is rumored to be planning to roll back tariffs on some Chinese goods, while Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen discussed trade relations with Chinese Vice-Premier Liu He. In data, the factory orders report for May will be coming up after the opening bell.

The Dow Jones lost 0.33% at 4:28 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 was down 0.50% at the same time, and the S&P 500 dropped 0.38%.

The euro traded 0.85% lower compared to the dollar, selling for 1.03359 at 4:29 am ET.
