eBay: Q2 net revenues decline 9% to $2.4 billion

eBay Inc. said on Wednesday that its net revenues fell 9% year over year to $2.4 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2022.

The company's loss per diluted share from continuing operations stood at $0.96, compared to earnings per diluted share of $0.43 from the second trimester in 2021. Loss from continuing operations was $536 million in the quarter that ended June 30, 2022, in contrast to income from continuing operations of $294 million from a year ago.

"Our team delivered better than expected financial results across the board while continuing to make significant progress on our long-term initiatives... Despite rising inflation, and an uncertain macro environment, we remain on track to deliver on our 2022 commitments," CEO Jamie Iannone noted.

The e-commerce firm's stock was up 4.69% in extended trading after the release of second-trimester results.
