Markets on Wall Street extended gains on Monday with the Dow Jones soaring more than 500 points as investors await a week of corporate earnings, including reports from Apple, Amazon and Meta.

The Dow Jones soared 1.62% or 504 points at 2:57 pm ET. The best performer was Amgen, whose shares jumped 3.53% at 3:01 pm ET.

The Nasdaq 100 surged 1.04% at 2:59 pm ET with Dollar Tree climbing 4.08%.

The S&P 500 rallied 1.36% at 2:59 pm ET. HCA Healthcare, up more than 6%, led the gains.

The euro added 0.16% against the dollar to sell for 0.98761 at 3:00 pm ET.
