US stocks rise in premarket ahead of Fed rate decision

Major stock exchanges on Wall Street traded above the flatline in the premarket on Wednesday as investors awaited the release of the country's employment data and the US Federal Reserve's rate decision.

Hours before the important event to determine the direction of the US economy, the euro was up 0.30% against the dollar at 4:29 am ET, selling at $0.99031. Meanwhile, the dollar index, which monitors the currency against a six-currency basket, decreased by 0.36% to stand at 111.1627.

The markets are also ready for more corporate results today. Robinhood, Qualcomm, and eBay will post their earnings reports. At 4:30 am ET, the Dow Jones gained 0.29%, while the Nasdaq 100 added 0.50%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.35%.
