Markets on Wall Street ended Monday’s session in the red territory as investors kept monitoring protests against fresh lockdowns in China and their possible effect on the supply chain. Fed's senior official James Bullard's comments on the continuation of rate increases in 2023 also sent trading on a downward spiral.

The Dow Jones lost 1.45% at the close, with Boeing Co. pulling the index down 3.66%. The Nasdaq 100 was down 1.43%. The worst performer was Zoom Video Communications, whose shares tumbled 5.05%. The S&P 500 declined by 1.54%, as VF Corp dropped 5.62%.

The euro lost 0.72% against the dollar to sell for 1.03347 at 3:59 pm ET.
