Western cap won't affect demand of Russian oil - Moscow

Saturday, 03. December 2022 13:32

Russia's embassy to the United States in a statement on Saturday said the country's oil will continue to be "in demand" despite a $60 per barrel price restriction placed by a group of Western counties in an effort to put further pressure on the Kremlin and help the global energy market.

The embassy singled out the United States in saying the counties in question hide "behind noble slogans of ensuring energy security for developing countries," while remaining silent about the "fact that current imbalances on the energy markets stem from their ill-conceived actions."

The statement warned that the "dangerous" steps like the one taken by the European Union, the Group of Seven (G7) and Australia "will inevitably result in increasing uncertainty and imposing higher costs for raw materials' consumers."
