Asian stocks mixed ahead of RBA interest rate

Equities on the Asian markets traded mixed on Tuesday with investors awaiting the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) monetary policy statement and interest rate decision.

The markets also reacted to the data coming out of China and Japan. Japan's Jibun Bank Manufacturing PMI saw the country's factory output expanding further in May, while China's manufacturing PMI for the month showed an overall growth in the sector.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite fell by 0.56% at 4:42 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite losing 0.62% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng edged 0.05% higher at 4:45 am CET as South Korea's Kospi went up by 0.46%. The Australian S&P 200 decreased by 0.42% a minute later. Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 0.58% at 4:35 am CET, with the dollar 0.1% lower against the yen, going for ¥109.4015 at 04:50 am CET.
