Asia-Pacific trades mostly lower after Japan data

Equities on major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly lower on Wednesday after Japan's latest trade deficit figures dropped lower than anticipated. The attention of investors worldwide will be focused on United States Federal Reserve's monetary policy decisions, set to be announced later in the day.

The Nikkei 225 declined 0.28% at 4:15 am CET. The Shanghai Composite was flat at 4:01 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite Index went down 0.93% at 4:16 am CET. The Hang Seng decreased 0.18% at the same time. The Kospi in South Korea gained 0.67% at 4:17 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 in Australia was up 0.36% concurrently.

The dollar was flat compared to the Japanese yen at 4:19 am CET, trading for 110.1080.
