Asia trades mostly lower as RBA holds rates

Shares on the major Asian stock market indexes traded mostly with losses on Tuesday following the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) decision to keep its response to the crisis prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic unchanged in terms of the cash rate, as well as the three-year Australian Government Securities (AGS) bonds.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.34% at 7:22 am CET, while South Korea's Kospi Composite was 0.29% higher a minute later. The Nikkei 225 rose 0.3% at 7:23 am CET, as the dollar concurrently slid 0.14% against the yen to trade for ¥110.8220.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.39% at 7:09 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite dipped 0.54% a minute later. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng was down by 0.42% at 7:26 am CET.
