Asia trades higher, Nikkei 225 gains over 600 points

Asian stock markets traded higher on Monday as the Nikkei 225 jumped over 600 points. Japan's Producer Price Index increased by 0.6% in June compared to May in the latest report. Meanwhile, head of the United States Treasury Janet Yellen predicted some of the newly agreed-upon global taxation rules could take effect in the spring of 2022.

The Nikkei 225 soared 2.22% or 620 points at 4:43 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.83% at the same time, and Hang Seng was up by 0.37%. The Kospi Composite increased by 0.89% 4:24 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite added 0.87% at 4:44 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite jumped by 2.13% at 4:45 am CET.

The dollar traded flat against the yen at 4:46 am CET, selling for 110.1390.
