Asia trades lower ahead of Japan data

Equities on Asian markets traded lower on Wednesday as investors kept their eyes on the release of industrial production figures coming out of Japan.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased by 0.65% at 5:05 am CET, while on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.87%, with the Shenzhen Composite down by 0.59%, a minute later.

Japan's Nikkei 225 went down by 0.21% at 4:35 am CET, while the dollar traded 0.12% lower against the yen, going for 110.5015 at 5:04 am CET, as South Korea's Kospi Composite declined by 0.22%. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 went up by 0.20% at 5:04 am CET.
