Wall Street lower premarket ahead of jobs report

Shares on Wall Street traded flat to lower on Wednesday ahead of the release of the July ADP employment report. The ADP report will give traders a preview of Friday's much-anticipated nonfarm payrolls data as Federal Reserve officials continue to assess the labor market's recovery from the pandemic.

Meanwhile, more corporate earnings were scheduled for a release later in the day, with CVS, Kraft Heinz and GM among the most noteworthy companies set to report their results before the opening bell.

The Dow Jones declined 0.12% at 4:30 am ET while the S&P 500 fell 0.10%. The Nasdaq 100 was flat at the time. The euro was down 0.15% against the dollar at 4:35 am ET, buying 1.18455.
