DAX, CAC jump after lower open

Major stock market indexes in Germany and France turned to gains on Friday after initially opening in the red as the fact that European Central Bank (ECB) meeting minutes described the €750 billion Pandemic Emergency Purchase Programme (PEPP) as an "important anchor of stability" for the bond markets in the Eurozone.

The DAX gained 0.52% at 3:10 pm CET as Heidelbergcement led the gains as it rose 2.84% at the same time. France's CAC 40 was up 0.44% at 2:56 pm CET. Construction and materials company Sait Gobain was the strongest in the index as it rose 4.30% at 2:57 pm CET.

The euro was down 0.49% at 3:13 pm CET to go for 1.08968.
