Europe opens in green as investors focus on data

Major European stock markets opened in the green on Tuesday despite the rate of unemployment in the United Kingdom grew by 4.1% in three months to July. Meanwhile, investors were focused on upcoming central bank meetings by the United States Federal Reserve, the Bank of Japan and the Bank of England. EU economic sentiment is also expected to be published later in the day.

The DAX opened 0.27% higher, with Heidelbergcement AG rising by 1.43%. The CAC 40 increased by 0.10%. Hermes intl was the best performer inclining by 0.54%. The FTSE 100 climbed 0.26%, as Ocado Group Plc going up 5.22%.

The euro advanced by 0.18% against the greenback to go for $1.18854 at 8:58 am CET, while the pound increased by 0.10% compared to the dollar a minute later to sell for $1.28601.
