European stocks surge on upbeat manufacturing data

Major European markets soared on Monday on better-than-expected manufacturing data from the European Union and the United Kingdom. Investors also digested upbeat manufacturing figures from China which showed the sector posted the largest growth in nearly 10 years.

After falling at the start of the session, the FTSE 100 rose 0.91% at 11:44 am CET. The best performer was Ocado Group whose shares soared over 10%.

The DAX jumped 1.83% at 11:44 am CET with HeidelbergCement climbing 4.23% at 11:45 am CET.

The CAC 40 rallied 1.42% at 11:44 am CET.
