Europe closes positive ahead of US elections

European markets went up on Tuesday as investors are focused on both the results of the American presidential elections and the latest developments concerning the Vienna attack.

Germany's DAX closed 2.55% higher, as MTU Aero Engines performed 5.49% higher. FTSE 100 went up by 2.33% with Rolls-Royce Holdings climbing by 9.72%. The CAC 40 index jumped by 2.44% with Renault moving up by 6.77%.

The euro gained 0.79% against the dollar to sell for $1.17294 at 5:30 pm CET, while the pound traded 1.17% higher to go for $1.30675 at the same time.
