International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach (pictured) warned on Saturday the Olympic Games, due to take place in Tokyo in July and August, could be held without spectators due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

He added the IOC and Japan were working to prepare for "all the possible scenarios" and to ensure health and safety protection of all involved.

Earlier this month, Bach stressed this year's Games would go ahead. Meanwhile, the Japanese government denied the event would be delayed.
