Societe Generale revenue at €5.84 billion in Q4, down by 6% YoY

Societe Generale SA revealed on Wednesday its net banking income in the fourth quarter of 2020 stood at €5.84 billion, marking a decrease of 6% in comparison to the same period last year.

The bank's gross operating income declined by 13% on an annual level to land at €1.49 billion, while its operating income dropped by 40.4% in the same timeframe to €798 million. Its dividend provision per share stood at €0.55, while its diluted losses per ordinary share stood at €1.02, worsening from the earnings per share (EPS) of €3.05 in the fourth trimester in 2019.

"The Q4 results provide further confirmation of the rebound in our businesses observed in Q3 after a beginning of the year marked by the impacts of the COVID crisis," Societe Generale Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederic Oudea commented. "We will continue to support our customers in all the transformations accelerated by this crisis, whether they concern the growing use of digital technologies or increased attention to corporate social responsibility issues."
