Salesforce Q1 revenue surges 23% to $5.96B

Salesforce.com Inc. posted on Thursday its first-quarter earnings for fiscal 2022, reporting yearly revenue growth of 23% to $5.96 billion. The American software company also revealed a net income of $469 million, with diluted earnings per share of $0.50.

"We had the best first quarter in our company's history... With incredible momentum throughout our core business, we're raising our revenue guidance for this fiscal year by $250 million to approximately $26 billion and non-GAAP operating margin to 18%. We're on our path to reach $50 billion in revenue in FY26," CEO Marc Benioff noted.

Salesforce's stocks jumped nearly 3% to $232.52 per share in the after-hours trading following the earnings announcement.
