Europe opens higher amid data releases

Major stock markets in Europe opened higher on Tuesday as the United Kingdom, Germany, and the European Union overall are revealing their latest results in various economic sectors. Britain observed an annual rise in house prices and will also post an update on its manufacturing sector. Germany and the EU will unveil their freshest reports on, among different fields, the unemployment rate.

The DAX opened 0.67% higher as Volkswagen AG gained 1.25%. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.22%, with Antofagasta PLC expanding by 2.62%. The CAC 40 went up by 0.42% as Bouygues SA increased by 1.47%.

The euro grew by 0.08% against the dollar to sell for $1.22356 at 8:57 am CET. At the same time, the pound sterling advanced by 0.18% against the greenback to change hands for $1.42352.
