Intel could buy GlobalFoundries for $30B - report

Intel Corp. is in talks to acquire GlobalFoundries Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal is allegedly worth around $30 billion.

However, sources said negotiations have not been concluded and GlobalFoundries could go public instead. According to the report, the semiconductor company is not directly involved in the talks, implying that Intel is discussing the sale with its owner, Mubadala Investment Co.
