Europe opens higher after US record-high close

Major European stock market indices were in the green as the session started on Wednesday after major Wall Street benchmarks closed at all-time highs a day before upon the passing of the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

Consumer prices in Germany rose by 3.8% in July, while core inflation came in at 2.7%.

The DAX gained 0.13% at 9:02 am CET with MTU Aero Engines advancing 1.42% a minute later. The CAC 40 opened the session 0.29% higher, marking a new record high. Airbus led the gains with a 1.13% increase at 9:03 am CET. The FTSE 100 was up 0.25% at the open as Spirax-Sarco jumped 2.98% at 9:03 am CET. The euro lost 0.08% versus the dollar at 8:59 am CET, going for 1.17094, while the pound surrendered 0.12% to the greenback, selling for 1.38258 at the same time.
