Europe opens higher after economic reports

Major stock markets in Europe opened higher on Friday after the United Kingdom revealed it registered growth in its industrial production and trade deficit. Meanwhile, Germany unveiled its inflation rose to 3.9%. Traders will also keep an eye on European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde's speech later in the day.

The DAX traded 0.17% at the opening as Delivery Hero SE went up by 0.99%. The FTSE 100 advanced by 0.31%, with Antofagasta PLC growing by 1.38%. The CAC 40 increased by 0.29% as Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) SE gained 1.56%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar at 8:57 am CET to go for $1.18256. At the same time, the pound sterling rose by 0.08% against the greenback to sell for $1.38510.
