Chinese govt, platform firms hold meeting on labor rights

The Chinese Ministry for Human Resources and Social Security and three other government departments met on Friday with representatives of ten major platform companies, including Tencent, Didi, Meituan and Alibaba-owned food delivery platform Ele.me, to discuss labor rights.

The government provided the firms with guidance on how to protect labor rights and told them they need to improve their algorithm rules, as well as income distribution and rest systems.
