US higher premarket ahead of data, earnings

Major stock indexes in the United States traded higher premarket on Friday as investors waited for the latest in earnings and economic data. President Biden signed into law a bill raising the federal debt limit short-term. In business, Moderna Inc. reported that it will have one billion extra COVID-19 booster shots available by next year.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.40% at 4:30 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 increased 0.24%. The S&P 500 advanced 0.33% at the same time.

The euro gained 0.15% against the dollar at 4:29 am ET, selling for $1.16140.
