Apollo Global Management Inc. plans to sign a deal to acquire Worldline SA for about $2.3 billion, as per sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report published by the Wall Street Journal, the New York-based company will acquire hardware that enables mobile phones and payment cards to be used by consumers to make payments.

The deal might be announced in the coming days.
