RWE's 2021 revenue up by 79.18% to €24.5B

RWE AG announced on Tuesday its external revenue in the fiscal year 2021 saw an annual rise of 79.18% to €24.5 billion. The company's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 10.94% in comparison with the previous fiscal year to €3.65 billion.

On the other hand, its net income attributable to shareholders went down by 31.4% in comparison with 2020 to €721 million. Meanwhile, its earnings per share (EPS) declined by 35.15% year-on-year to €1.07 per share.

"The past year was challenging in many respects, and thus we are even more pleased that we outperformed our financial targets," RWE's Chief Executive Officer Dr. Markus Krebber commented on the results.
