Airbus SE said on Wednesday that its revenue stood at €12 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, 15% up year-on-year.

The company's net income gained 237% in comparison to the same trimester in 2021 to come in at €1.2 billion. Meanwhile, its earnings per share (EPS) went up by 237% as well and year-on-year to stand at €1.55 per share.

"Looking beyond 2022, we see continuing strong growth in commercial aircraft demand driven by the A320 Family. As a result, we are now working with our industry partners to increase A320 Family production rates further to 75 aircraft a month in 2025. This ramp-up will benefit the aerospace industry’s global value chain," said Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer.
