Major stock indexes in Europe finished the Friday session off mixed as investors absorbed the latest batch of economic reports. Germany saw its trade surplus expand significantly, while Eurozone’s producer prices tumbled 2.9%.

Meanwhile, the United States' better-than-expected jobs data seemingly also affected the sentiment in Europe, as questions over the future path of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy were raised yet again. European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said that Fed’s decisions had spillover effects in Europe.

The DAX edged up 0.27% at the closing bell as Vonovia rose 2.96%. Simultaneously, the CAC 40 dipped 0.17%, as Worldline fell 2.31%. The FTSE 100 stood flat at the close.

The euro was 0.32% below the dollar at 5:30 pm CET, selling for 1.04902. The pound traded flat against the greenback to go for 1.22487 at the same time.
