Europe opens this week's final session mostly lower

Major stock market indexes in Europe opened mostly lower on Friday following a week marked by earnings reports from companies like LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) and SAP SE. Investors slowly shifted focus to the next seven-day period, which will see updates on the Eurozone's inflation and unemployment rate, among others, and the Bank of England's (BoE) newest monetary policy decision.

The DAX opened 0.12% lower. The CAC 40 decreased by 0.15%. The Euro Stoxx 50 went down by 0.08%. Airbus SE was the worst performer on all of those three indexes, dipping by 2.22%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 increased by 0.12% as Sainsbury PLC jumped by 5.22%.

The euro lost 0.15% to the dollar at 8:58 am CET to sell for $1.08752. At the same time, the pound sterling declined by 0.29% against the greenback to change hands for $1.23780.
