Johnson names new gov't communications director - report

United Kingdom Prime Minister Johnson has appointed Jack Doyle as the new Downing Street director of communications, The Times reported on Friday.

Doyle's previous roles include the government's deputy director of communications and the Daily Mail's associate editor of politics.

Outgoing director of communications for the UK government, James Slack, will reportedly become The Sun's deputy editor-in-chief.
