Europe opens higher as G20 is set to start

Major stock indexes in Europe opened in the green as investors turn their attention to the onset of the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Indonesia. Most of the world leaders have already arrived in Bali, with the exception of Russian President Vladimir Putin who decided not to attend the conference, while his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky will take part via video link.

The FTSE 100 increased by 0.10% at 9:00 am CET. Informa PLC ORD 0.1 P lead the gains, rising 3.46% at 9:15 am CET.

The DAX rose +0.51% at 9:03 am CET. The best performer was Daimler Truck, whose shares rose 2.33%.

The CAC 40 went up 0.42% at 9:00 am CET. Teleperformance SE went up by 5.32% at 9:15 am CET.

The euro lost 0.22% against the dollar to go for 1.03333 at 9:05 am CET. The pound fell 0.46% compared to the dollar to sell for 1.17870 at 9:07 am CET.
