European stocks rise after Eurozone manufacturing data

Major European stock market indexes extended gains on Wednesday after the IHS Markit's preliminary report revealed that the manufacturing sector in the Eurozone improved significantly in September.

Meanwhile, European Union's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier stressed that the bloc is "determined" to reach a trade deal with the United Kingdom.

The DAX jumped 1.75% at 11:27 am CET, while the CAC 40 soared 1.97% at the same time. Concurrently, in London, the FTSE 100 climbed 2.25%. The euro gained 0.08% versus the dollar, selling for $1.17162 at 11:31 am CET, while the pound declined by 0.07% against the greenback, to change hands at $1.27235 a minute later.
