Europe mostly higher premarket amid earnings

Major European stocks traded mostly higher ahead of Friday's session as companies continued reporting their earnings results for the last quarter of 2020. Allianz SE, Groupe Renault, NatWest Group plc and Eni S.p.A. were set to release their results today.

On the data front, British consumer confidence stood at negative 23 points in GfK's latest survey released earlier today, its highest level since the coronavirus pandemic began to affect the country's economy. More data from IHS Markit is set to be published during the day.

The DAX gained 0.36% at 7:30 am CET, while the CAC 40 advanced 0.28%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 lost 0.10%. Both the euro and the pound stood flat against the dollar, trading for 1.20970 and 1.39780, respectively.
