E.ON said on Wednesday that its sales in the second quarter of 2022 amounted to €23.3 billion, soaring 59% compared to the same period in 2021.

Net income fell 10% year on year to €1.6 billion, while earnings per share dropped 17% to €0.55. Adjusted EBITDA slid 15% to €1.97 billion and adjusted EBIT decreased 13% to €1.3 billion.

In the first half of 2022, the electric utility company's sales jumped 60% to €52.8 billion, while EPS slid 11% to €0.87.
