Space authorities of Russia and the United States will begin talks on the future of the International Space Station (ISS) in early 2021, Roscosmos said on Thursday.

The Russian space agency pointed out in a statement to TASS that how long the ISS will last will be determined by both technical and political issues.

The comments from Roscosmos come after the agency said that the ISS has a number of technical issues and could only be in commission for another 7 to 10 years.
